Improving upon far more barbaric and risky methods of cleaning troublesome dust particles from DSLR digital camera sensors that can blemish otherwise pristine photos, Japanese manufacturer Fujin and Chinese manufacturer Nisshin Seiko have combined efforts to release an incredibly simplistic (and seemingly effective) device: a lens-shaped vacuum cleaner.
Proving that electronics accessories that suck aren't necessarily a bad thing, the vacuum device, which looks a lot like a Canon L lens, complete with a red ring along its outer edge, mounts directly to the front of the camera and is engaged by flipping an ON/OFF switch that powers a small fan.
Presently, the device is only compatible with Canon digital cameras. Priced at the equivalent of $35 US dollars, the lens-shaped vacuum cleaner is as yet unavailable in the stateside market but can be procured through the import market.
